Hot/cold and pressure/vacuum reactions for dry, moist and viscous materials
Vacuum mixer-dryers and reactors from amixon® operate with vertically mounted helical blade mixing tools, which rotate at an uniform, close distance inside the mixing space. The small distance between the mixing tool and the wall of the container guarantees ideal heat transmission, particularly as all surfaces that come into contact with the products have a double jacket: the mixing tool shaft, the scoop-type arms and the helical blade. The special shape of the helical blade causes mixing and flow, without compacting or pressing the materials. Not only powders but also pastes and crystalline materials are reliably dried. Sometimes the consistency of the materials changes and viscoplastic phases have to be overcome during drying.
The dryers are manufactured according to the latest EHEDG guidelines as well as in compliance with GMP and FDA and are used for the gentle vacuum contact drying of powders.
