Companies in the food industry are currently faced with the question of how they should align their activities to increase environmental friendliness. This applies to the food itself, but also to the packaging used. In order to meet this need for information, the DLG has produced the “Sustainable Packaging 2024” study. It provides insights into the status quo - from the consumer's perspective to the specific strategies for implementation in companies.
In the DLG podcast Food on the occasion of Anuga FoodTec, the international supplier fair for food and beverage production in Cologne, the technical director of the DLG study and market research expert Prof. Dr. Holger Buxel from the University of Applied Sciences in Münster provides information on the objectives and results of the study.
