About Prof. Dr. Peter Eisner
Prof. Dr. Peter Eisner studied process engineering at Technical University of Munich, where he received his doctorate in 1997 and completed his habilitation in process engineering of plant raw materials in 2014.
Since 1996, Peter Eisner has been employed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging, which he has headed as deputy director since 2017. Among other things, he is responsible for the technology transfer area.
He is the founder and CEO of Macauba Ingredients GmbH, a Fraunhofer spin-off. The purpose of the company is to use Macauba palms in Brazil, from cultivation to holistic utilization. This includes the extraction of oils, fats, proteins and fiber from the fruits of palm trees for use in various industries.
