About Dr. Andreas Piater
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Piater has been the CEO of Spicetech GmbH since 2016, which he co-founded with Dr. rer. nat. Alexander Thieß. Prior to this role, he held senior positions demonstrating expertise in innovation and technology development.
He began his academic career at the Institute for Nuclear Energy and Energy Systems at the University of Stuttgart, where he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Deputy Department Head from 2008 to 2011. He also completed his doctorate there from 2005 to 2008 and served as a research assistant.
In 2011, Dr. Piater transitioned to industry before founding Spicetech GmbH in 2016. The company offers tailored software solutions and AI-as-a-Service for small and medium-sized enterprises. These enable faster problem identification, performance quantification, and proactive measures. Successful tools include a Legal Tech platform and the AI forecasting tools PREDECY and the validation tool VALICY.
