Developed from the successful existing range of OMAC “B” series lobe pumps, the new series “BA” pumps retain the principles of performance, solidity and reliability and incorporate a new design which improve the clean ability. The test result demonstrates that the construction is crevice free and wetted parts are easy to clean in-place. This also allows the reduction of hot water consumption and reduce the use of chemical products for their cleaning.
BA lobe pumps have rotor case profile and geometry allows for complete self-draining of the pump with vertical ports; inner surface finish Ra ≤ 0,8 µ and high quality elastomers in either 3A – FDA approved. All wetted parts are in stainless steel 1.4404 and the pump body is from lost wax casting.
This range consists of 14 models, from BA100 to BA490 with deliveries from 0.03 to 3.3 l/rev.
Bigger difference from classic B series are: in built fixing nuts with flat cover minimises product entrapment & improves CIP; flush end cover O-ring that follows rotor case profile; flush rear rotor O-ring without metal to metal contact; mech. seals with more bigger and self-draining slots to enable through cleaning and also avoids the retention of potentially dangerous cleaning fluids.
The materials, the performance and other characteristics, such as the accuracy of the assembly, are equal to those of the well-known B series.
As option, BA pumps can be delivered with stainless steel or Nickel coated bearing housing.
Like other OMAC’s lobe pumps, can be supplied in ATEX execution with classification II 2G kc T4, for installation in areas with presence of atmosphere potentially explosive caused by gas/vapours and inflammable liquids.
