Soudronic provides a complete range of machines and components for the can-making industry, focusing on three-piece and two-piece can production lines and end-making systems. The machines operate at speeds of up to 1,200 cans per minute. In addition to cans, other shapes such as pails, drums, and irregularly shaped metal containers can be produced.

Production line for a three-piece can

A typical can production system consists of the following machine and components: A slitter to cut the tinplate base material into body blanks of the required size; a transfer system to feed the cut blanks from the slitter to the canbody welder; a welding unit to shape and weld the canbody; a seam protection system to prevent oxidation and chemical reactions damaging the welded can; a curing system to dry and harden the coating; a bodyformer to give the canbody its final profile and shape, and a tester, to test the air-tightness of the product. A single control system, equipped with a touchscreen panel, permits central operation and control of the entire production line.
